A legendary musician, composer, producer, arranger and conductor, nominated 79 times for the Grammy awards and 27 times a winner, including the "Grammy Legend" Award, Quincy Jones recently received the "Médaille d'Honneur Nationale des Arts et Humanité" and the "Médaille nationale des arts". On 25 May, the celebrated producer presented the "GLOBAL GUMBO ALL STARS" at OLM Souissi in Morocco, including talented musicians like Rifaat sultana, Siedah Garrett, Naturally 7, Patti Austin, Bassam Saba, Alfredo Rodriguez, Fransisco Mela, Paulinho da Costa, Richard Bona and Lionel Loueke. The project was the result of a collaboration between Quincy Jones and producer Dawn Elder, under the name "Global Gumbo Group in Association with Dawn Elder".
